Aminiography for Early Diagnosis of Hydatidiform Mole


Abstract
Amniography was performed in a total of 8 cases which were clinically diagnosed as hydatidiform` mole-among¢¥ the patients visited to, the deparment of obstetrics and gynecology, Chounarn National University - Hospital during the period of 10 imriths from January 1,1968 to October 31, 1968.
The results were as follows:
5 cases out ¢¥of a total of 8 cases which were clinically diagnosed as hydatidiform mole were correctly proved to be hydatidiform mole¢¥which demonstrated .a typical honey-comb appearance in arnniography, and the rest of ¢¥3 cases was confirmed as intrauterine fetal death, right infected ovarian cyst, and left tubal ectopy by operation respectively.
Amniography is not only no harm to the fetus and mother but also safer and easier than other various methods. It is recommended that amniography is a useful method ¢¥ to make early diagnosis of hydatidiform mole and to differentiate between hydatidiform mole and tumorous conditions in gynecological field including normal and abnormal pregnancy.
